Challenge 3 at Hobbycutz

Morning Everyone, First I have to apologise for posting this late, internet is driving me nuts....lol Well, I am really enjoying my holiday and it is still really hot! So I am really not missing the cold weather back home.... So here is my DT project for the new challenge set at Hobbycutz Challenges which has been set by my fellow DT member KathyK and the challenge for the next two weeks is a lovely sketch to play with or CAS - Clean and Simple....you can use either or both? So Here's my Project....

My card Recipe:

I used the lovely sketch that KathyK set

I just swapped the sentiment for the flower and flipped it to the other side.

I used a Magnolia Tilda stamp - Tilda with Heart socks.

I coloured my image using my promarkers and some water colour pencils.

I used some textured grey card for my main card and added the red border.

The ribbon border and flowers I added lastly which is both MDF, which is available in my SHOP

Easter Project for Hobbycutz Challenge

Good Morning Everyone,

I am back today with my DT project which I made for the NEW Hobbycutz Challenge starting today....and our theme for the next two weeks is EASTER GIFT BOXES

We have a Brand New Sponsor On board which is Fairy Dust Crafts.

And here is my Project for your inspiration...

I used a Plain MDF box (which will be available online soon) which I then covered in some very old paper I had which is from Papermania. Then I added the stamped image which is Easter Bunny Tilda from Magnolia, which I coloured using my promarkers.

I then added the MDF Easter eggs which is from my Own Online Shop.

The handle I made myself using some twine which I braided. Lastly I added the Borders strips which was a Martha Stewart punch and the flowers and butterflies was from my stash.

The Story:

I am Kobie and I am the Owner and Designer of Hobbycutz Lasercutting & Designs.

I  grew up in a Crafty family, with a very creative Gran, Mum and even Dad...he was always into woodworking....

I acquired a laser cutter early December last year after having my second child, which made it nearly impossible to return to work because of expensive child care, so I had to look for something I can do from home.

It was the biggest learning curve of my life and never really realised what I was getting myself into until the machine arrived.

But anyway not going to bore you with the rest, I am here and we will have to see what the future holds.....

So to celebrate the launch of this new adventure we are having a blog hop and you have 2 weeks to join in the fun and try and win some prizes.

Inspiration Day 3...LOTV

Good Afternoon Everyone

Yes it's been a busy afternoon and it has been freezing here....

For the ones that doesn't know yet, my New DT has been announced and we getting all geared up and organised for the New challenge that will start on the 3rd of March...over on the Hobbycutz Challenge blog, if you haven't been over there yet, pop over there and come join our followers list.

So I am back with another card I made and embellished with some Hobbycutz Goodies....Please visit my shop.

So Here's my Card 

My Card Recipe:

For my Stamp I used this adorable Lilli of the Valley stamp, which I coloured with my promarkers and then added some stickles to the flowers and the dress, for some extra bling...

The Papers is from a 6x6 K&Company paper stack I had for over a year now...I matted that on some very pale green pearlacent card.

The Darker red die cut doily is from Marianne Designs.

The Lovely large pink flowers you see in the corner was handmade by myself.

The wooden cut out is from my own Shop - Hobbycutz

and the ribbon and pearls is from my stash.

Inspiration Day 2

Morning All you Lovely Crafters out there....

Hope you nice and warm where you are....
We are having horrendous weather at the moment and even had snow last night, and it was extremely icy this morning when I did the school run....

Anyway I am warming up nicely in my cosy craft room with a cuppa....

I am back again today to show you something I made using some of my goodies....NOT a Card...lol

Okay so I designed this cute box, it works on the same principal as a Match box, it slides close and open, and it is ideal for those little prezzies...

It measures 80mm x 51 mm x30 mm

length x width x height

(Just a wee note: if anyone would like this in any other size please contact me as I can customise them to requirement)

These will be available on my website the sometime during the week.

Okay so I started with a blank MDF box, covered it with paper and decopatch glue,

added some ribbon and some other lovely decorative laser cuts.

This will make a super gift idea for Valentines day....

Some Inspiration

Morning All,

Hope Everyone had a lovely weekend....me and hubby and the kiddies have decided to go a way for the weekend, which was good, but makes the weekend feel so much shorter....lol

Anyway I will be back with a few posts today showcasing some card I made using some of my lovely items available in my shop.

My Card Recipe:

For the Stamp I used Magnolia Tilda with Lace Jeans, and coloured her using my Promarkers.

I then added some shading and cut her out along the outlines.

My Papers is from a 6x6 Paper stack from K&Company, which I matted on some darker off pink coloured card stock.

The Swirls is from my own designs and will be available in my shop by the end of the week.

The Flowers leaves and Ribbons is from my stash.
